Learning and thriving at our school

High Potential & Gifted Education Programs

We help students develop critical thinking, problem-solving, and advanced academic skills. We celebrate creativity and encourage innovative thinking. Our school creates a learning environment that focuses on physical well-being and supports students’ social and emotional growth. Students build strong friendships, practice empathy, and learn important life skills for the future.

The chance to be part of our sporting tradition

Our school offers many opportunities for students to excel in sports. Students can take part in annual Swimming, Cross Country, and Athletics Carnivals, with the chance to compete at Zone, Regional, NSW CHS, and NSW All Schools levels. We also participate in NSW CHS Knockout Competitions, Gala Days, and a variety of other sporting events. For talented athletes, there are pathways to trial for both individual and team sports to help them progress further.

The opportunity to embrace the creative and performing arts

Our school offers a wide range of creative opportunities, including dance, drama and music ensembles, as well as a Visual Arts Club for students to explore their artistic talents. Students who enjoy working behind the scenes can join our Event Management Team. Each term, we hold CAPA Evenings where students showcase their creative work to the school community. We also produce an annual school musical and encourage participation in events like Schools Spectacular, Performing Arts Festivals, Eisteddfods, and Art Competitions. These programs help students develop their skills and express themselves creatively.

The option to engage in agricultural activities

Students at our school have the unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience by working on the farm, helping with the care and rearing of animals. They can join the Cattle Show Team or the Alpaca Show Team to develop their skills in animal care and presentation. Additionally, students can prepare and present poultry for the prestigious Sydney Royal Show, gaining valuable experience in agricultural practices and competitions.

"I would recommend Elderslie High School because every faculty has something different to offer where students can explore and find new interests." Caitlin, Class of 2023 Elderslie High School Alumni.
