Science Homework Policy
‘Stile’ is an interactive computer based learning platform that the Science department will use for all homework tasks. The lessons work on any device (including computers, laptops, tablets), anywhere. Access to the internet is available in the school's library or any public library if you do not have home access. Homework club is available after Wednesday sport from 2.30pm to 3.25pm.
The tasks included on Stile reinforce the key ideas and skills taught in the Science classroom. Stile can be used to monitor your child’s learning and feedback is provided online when their teacher reviews your child’s answers. This enables all students to actively monitor and evaluate their own learning. New tasks are allocated each term. Parents/caregivers can assist by asking your child to show you the online tasks for each week. Your child will always have Science revision homework every week.
Homework is an assessable part of the coursework component of assessment. Informal coursework is weighted at 40% of the student's final grade.
