Winnie Hsu - Year 10
Winnie has started writing her own poetry. Pretty Amazing!
Every Intent of Falling
‘Steady, child,
(spoken with a smile)
Careful with your feet!’
I hummed a mismatched beat.
When I stood, saw the world in all its glory,
Supposedly;
I only saw the blur of fidelity pass me by.
There was a lump in my throat when I asked why.
I daren’t voice my thoughts,
The mind embroids my naughts;
Carefully and closely,
It sets a place in my heart, homely.
On the cold of my palms,
Is your warmth which breaks my qualms -
The one I find myself to seek
In the winters cold with bleak.
It is out of my jaded reign;
I reached with all my strains,
The song's been spun -
From the start I was outrun.
Lingering on my fingertips,
Yours like an eclipse.
A foreboding to you,
With a mismatched step, I withdrew.
I let go of your calling, With every intent of falling."
